LISA: Where systems engineering and operations professionals share real-world knowledge about designing, building, and maintaining the critical systems of our interconnected world.
The LISA conference has long served as the annual vendor-neutral meeting place for the wider system administration community. The LISA14 program recognized the overlap and differences between traditional and modern IT operations and engineering, and developed a highly-curated program around 5 key topics: Systems Engineering, Security, Culture, DevOps, and Monitoring/Metrics. The program included 22 half- and full-day training sessions; 10 workshops; and a conference program consisting of 50 invited talks, panels, refereed paper presentations, and mini-tutorials.
A variety of topics are being covered at LISA14. Use the icons listed below to focus on a key subject area:
| Culture: business communication and capital planning, continuous delivery and product management, distributed and remote worker challenges, on-call challenges, and more! | |
| DevOps: site-reliabilty engineering, development frameworks for ops, release engineering, API-driven operations, and more! | |
| Monitoring/Metrics: monitoring, alerting, and logging systems, analytics, interpretation, and application of system data, and visualization of system data. | |
| Security: network IDS and IDP, incident management, disaster resilience and mitigation, security testing frameworks, and more! | |
| Systems Engineering: large-scale design challenges, cloud and hybrid deployments, Software Defined Networks (SDN), virtualization, and more! |
