Nominating Committee Report
Every two years, according to our Bylaws, the USENIX Association holds elections for all eight members of its Board of Directors. The board consists of four officers: President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and four at-large members. Also, according to our Bylaws, the board appoints a nominating committee whose job it is to ensure that we have a strong slate of candidates to run for election. In addition to the nominating committee, any five Association members may together nominate additional candidates to run for any position.
Nominations from the membership are open until January 6, 2014. To nominate an individual, send a written statement of nomination signed by at least five (5) members in good standing, or five separately signed nominations for the same person, to the Executive Directors at the Association offices, to be received by noon PST, January 6, 2014. Please prepare a plain-text Candidate’s Statement and send both the statement and a 600 dpi photograph to production@usenix.org, to be included in the ballots. Questions? Contact execdir@usenix.org.
