The submissions deadline for the First USENIX Workshop on Large-scale Exploits and Emergent Threats (LEET '08) is approaching. Please submit all work by February 11, 2008.

-- Rob Ross and Rob Latham on Parallel I/O for High-Performance Computing
-- Christian Cachin on Cryptographic Methods for Protecting Storage Systems

WOWCS '08 Call for Papers Now Available

Taking place April 15, 2008, the Workshop on Organizing Workshops, Conferences, and Symposia for Computer Systems (WOWCS '08) will bring together organizers of conferences focused on computer systems and other interested people to discuss the issues they confront. The workshop has several goals: to discuss certain contentious policy issues, to preserve folklore and experience in written form, and to evaluate tools and techniques for conference organizers.

The paper submission deadline is February 15, 2008.

The Large Installation System Administration Conference (LISA) has been the premier system administration conference for over 20 years. The LISA '08 Call for Participation is now available.

The theme for LISA '08 is "Real World System Administration."

UPSEC '08 Call for Papers Submissions Deadline: January 25, 2008

Co-located with NSDI '08, the Usability, Psychology, and Security 2008 workshop will bring together an interdisciplinary group of researchers, systems designers, and developers to discuss how the fields of human computer interaction, applied psychology, and computer security can be brought together to inform innovations in secure systems design.

UPSEC '08 will take place April 14, 2008, in San Francisco, CA.
