Talk about a recent success, energize people about a pressing issue, ask a question, start a conversation! Lightning talks are 5-minute opportunities to get up and talk about what's on your mind. You can give several lightning talks if you have more than one topic. Lightning talk signups will open online just before the conference starts. Unlike Ignite talks, lightning talks are free-form with no slides or AV.
Have a good idea or some research that's not quite ready for publication? Sharing your research and experiences in the form of a poster is good for your health and great for the LISA community! Posters are a good way to get feedback on your current work as well as improve your organization and presentation skills. Consider also that more than a few refereed papers and invited talks have started out as posters.
The deadline for poster proposals has been extended to October 26, 2013. Please email your one-page poster abstract to [email protected]. Completed posters will be required by the start of the conference.
