LISA '11: Past, Present, and Future of System Administration

Recently I researched and wrote an article for The Linux Foundation on what employers want from a Linux admin. If you read that article and then look at the LISA '11 schedule, you'll see that our schedule nicely aligns with the most in-demand job skills.

From that article:

Besides the skill "Linux," the top 10 skills employers are listing in their wanted ads are:

  1. Unix (311)
  2. Scripting (275)
  3. Network (263)
  4. Communication (258)
  5. Windows (251)
  6. Development (246)
  7. Security (244)
  8. Design (223)
  9. Shell (199)
  10. Engineering (190)

If you can't make it for the training and workshops at the beginning of the week, you'll still have plenty of tech sessions and invited talks to attend, as well as BoFs and a poster session.

Is data your thing? If so, be sure to attend the Data Storage Day on Wednesday, December 7.

Registration for the Data Storage Day is FREE and includes lunch and admission to the LISA '11Vendor Exhibition and Exhibit Hall Happy Hour, and Wednesday BoFs. Click here to register online. [If you're attending Data Storage Day only, please select the FREE Data Storage Day Plus Vendor Exhibition Only Pass.
