Diversity ’08 Full Program and Online Registration Now Available!

The first Workshop on Supporting Diversity in Systems Research is a community-building event, serving both to educate women and under-represented minorities about the opportunities in systems research and to support researchers who are already working in the field.

The workshop program is now available and registration is open.

NSDI ’09 Call For Papers Submissions Deadline: October 3, 2008

The submissions deadline for the 6th USENIX Symposium on Networked Systems Design and Implementation (NSDI ’09) is quickly approaching.

Please submit all your paper titles and abstracts by  6:00 p.m. EDT, October 3, 2008.

NSDI ’09 brings together researchers from across the networking and systems community - including computer networking,  distributed systems, and operating systems – in fostering cross disciplinary approaches and addressing shared research challenges.

LISA '08 Student Grant Submission Deadline: Friday, Oct. 3

The student grant application deadline for the 22nd Large Installation System Administration Conference (LISA '08)  is approaching.

FAST '09 CFP Submissions Deadline Extended: 9/14/08

The submissions deadline for the The 7th USENIX Conference on File and Storage Technologies (FAST ‘09) has been extended.  Please submit all work by 9:00 p.m. EDT, September 14, 2008.

The Call for Papers, with submission guidelines, is now available here.

FAST ‘09 will take place February 24-27, 2009, in San Francisco, CA.

FAST '09 brings together storage system researchers and practitioners to explore new directions in the design, implementation, evaluation, and deployment of storage systems.

USENIX Other Event of Interest: NYCBSDCon 2008

USENIX is pleased to be a sponsor of the The New York City *BSD User Group's NYCBSDCon 2008, taking place at Manhattan's Columbia University on October 11-12, 2008.

The technical conference will feature a dozen presentations, Birds of Feather sessions, BSD Certification exam opportunities and sponsor tables.

Much of the conference will be podcasted by BSDTalk, and FreeBSD and NetBSD developer summits/get-togethers will be happening before the conference.

This workshop hopes to provide a forum in which to present the latest research and to debate directions, challenges, and novel ideas about building energy-efficient computing systems.
