LISA'12 or Bust

I had a moment of panic when I realized that 26th Large Installation System Administration Conference is in a few weeks and I didn't have a plane ticket booked. Luckily, there were still great deals available today, so my tickets are purchased, seats selected, and all that's left is the packing.

LISA '12 Student Grants

If you're a student who would like to attend LISA '12, you still have a few days left to apply for a student grant. Forgive me for sounding a little braggy, but USENIX student grants are pretty awesome. In fact, 84 students landed grants for our USENIX Security '12 event. Student grants don't just get you in the event door; they also help cover travel and accommodation expenses. Beat the November 5 deadline and apply for a student grant today.

Google Grants for Women

More good news — Google is sponsoring LISA '12 grants for women:

Five women will be selected from the applicants to receive $700 US to apply toward travel/accommodation costs.

Eligibility:

  • Be a female working in or studying Computer Science or a related field
  • Attend at least two full days of the main conference technical sessions
  • Agree to being contacted by Google about future events and opportunities

To apply, fill out the LISA '12 Grants for Women application today.

LISA '12 Discounts

In addition to discounts for USENIX and LISA SIG members, we offer several other discounts to help you get to LISA '12:

  • Government Discount
  • Non-Profit Discount
  • Retirement Discount for USENIX Members
  • Hardship Discount for USENIX Members

And, of course, there's the Early Bird Discount, which ends on November 19.
