LISA10 Conference Information Released

LISA '10
The Large Installation System Administration schedule and details have been released on the official conference site.

The week-long event will begin on Sunday, November 7th in San Jose, California and continue through Friday, November 12th. The five day event will feature over 100 training sessions, technical sessions, and workshops as well as an untold number of Birds of a Feather sessions and poster presentations, not counting the much-vaunted hallway track.

New this year, all training and technical sessions are specified as half-day, giving attendees additional flexibility in determining their schedule of choice. The training program features classes which relate to three important technologies in the sysadmin world:

  • The Virtualization Series offers both new and repeat classes that provide the latest virtualization information by instructors such as John Arrasjid and Richard McDougall.

  • The Linux Security and Administration Series offers in-depth Linux training by experts including Theodore Ts'o and Rik Farrow.

  • New! The SuperSysadmin Series showcases techniques for time and project management, raising your visibility, and other key skills to take your career to the next level. Expert instructors include Tom Limoncelli and Strata Rose Chalup.

Please make note that we are still asking for people to submit their work for poster sessions, which can feature work which is incomplete or not appropriate for a full-blown paper.

As always, a lower admission price is offered to members of USENIX, SAGE, or LOPSA, and there are various discounts available for eligible organizations.

Register for LISA10 now, and start planning your itinerary! See you in San Jose!
