Student Grants

Sponsored by Google

A limited number of student grants are available to help pay for travel, accommodations, and registration fees to enable full-time students to attend the conference. Please note that USENIX relies on sponsorship to finance student grants, and funding is strictly limited. We do not guarantee assistance to speakers or participants, and student grants rarely cover complete travel needs.

To apply for a grant, visit the USENIX Student Grant Program page.

Diversity Grants

Sponsored by Bloomberg, CoverMyMeds, craigslist, Google, and Microsoft

As part of its ongoing commitment to encourage diversity in advanced computing, we are pleased to offer LISA17 Diversity Grants to support computer scientists interested in attending the conference. All computer scientists from academia or industry who identify as underrepresented are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility:

  • Identify as female or a member of another underrepresented group in tech
  • Work in or study computer science or a related field
  • Attend at least two full days of the main Conference Program (Wednesday–Friday)
  • Agree to being contacted by USENIX and Grant sponsors about future events and opportunities

To apply, complete the LISA17 Diversity Grants application today.

Donation Program for Underrepresented Attendees

In the spirit of increasing diversity at our conferences, USENIX has established a program to accept donations to defray the expenses of conference attendees who are members of groups underrepresented in tech. Donors will receive acknowledgement of their donation to USENIX, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donate today.
