As part of USENIX's ongoing commitment to diversity in this field, we are pleased to offer Grants for Women at SREcon17 Europe/Middle East/Africa. All computer scientists from academia or industry who identify as women are encouraged to apply.
The deadline to receive applications is Monday, July 31, 2017, at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. Notifications of awards will be sent via email prior to the Early Bird Registration Deadline on August 14, 2017.
Eligibility:
- Identify as a woman or other underrepresented minority working in or studying Computer Science or related field
- Attend the three full days of the main Conference Program
- Agree to be contacted by our Grants for Women program sponsors about future events and opportunities
Instructions for Applicants
Complete the application form below. Each individual selected for a grant will receive $700 to assist them in attending the conference.
Your Supporting Statement is the most important part of your application: it should outline your current research, studies, or employment related to the conference topics, tell us why attending the event will be beneficial to you, and any other relevant information such as whether you are presenting at the conference or have financial need.
Late applications and materials will not be considered. Successful applicants will need to submit their Social Security Number (SSN) to USENIX prior to receiving their grant.
