Work-in-Progress Reports (WiPs)
Wednesday, February 19, 2014, 2:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m., Grand Ballroom ABGH
Please submit your proposals for Work-in-Progress Reports (WiPs) or Posters by Wednesday, January 22, 11:59 p.m. PST, by emailing either fast14wips@usenix.org or fast14posters@usenix.org. The authors will be notified about acceptance by Wednesday, January 29. In their submissions, authors should indicate whether they wish to present their work as a poster, or as both a poster and a WiP talk.
The proposal should consist of a maximum two-page abstract, typeset in two-column format in 10-point Times Roman type on 12-point leading (single-spaced), with the text block being no more than 6.5" wide by 9" deep. References should not be set in a smaller font. Submissions that violate any of these restrictions will not be reviewed. The limits will be interpreted strictly. No extensions will be given for reformatting.
Instructions for posters can be found here.
Each submission must clearly indicate the names and affiliations of all authors, which authors (if any) are students, and the author who will give the presentation for the WiP or who will be the contact for the poster. Please send submissions in PDF format.
Submissions will be evaluated by the WiP/Poster Sessions Committee for quality and appropriateness, but they will not be peer-reviewed in the traditional sense. Each accepted (short or full) paper for the Technical Sessions is automatically granted a poster slot; paper authors do not need to submit a separate request for a poster.
The WiP session will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Each presenter will get five minutes to discuss their work, and one minute to answer questions. These limits will be strictly enforced. Accepted posters will appear in one of the two Poster Sessions, scheduled for the evenings of Tuesday, February 18, and Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
