In order to gain precise understanding of our results, we first provide
separate
measurements for communication latency in mRSA. Recall that both mRSA
operations involve a request from a client followed by a reply from a SEM.
As mentioned above, the test PCs were connected by a high-speed regional
network. We measured communication latency by varying the key size which
directly influences message sizes. The results are shown in
Table 1 (message sizes are in bytes). Latency is calculated as
the round-trip delay between the client and the SEM. The numbers are identical
for both client types.
