Dear Colleague:
We are writing to invite you to the First Symposium on Networked
Systems Design and Implementation (NSDI '04),
March 2931 in San Francisco, CA
NSDI '04 is a new conference focused on the design principles of large
scale distributed and networked systems. Our goal is to bring together
researchers from across the system and networking communities to foster a
cross-disciplinary approach to addressing common research challenges.
We received over 120 technical submissions, and from these the NSDI '04
program committee selected 27 papers for inclusion in the conference. The
resulting program includes a diverse collection of creative and
well-developed papers in areas including sensor systems, network routing,
peer-to-peer networks, storage systems, and security. In addition, NSDI '04
will feature a Poster Session where each attendee can interact with
researchers describing their current work in its formative stages and learn
more about the leading edge of networked systems design. Finally, NSDI
will feature a keynote address from Richard Lawrence, Director of Technology at Sony Online Entertainment, that will
describe the unique systems challenges faced by builders of large-scale
online games.
Please join us for this exciting new conference presenting the best of
current networked systems research and practice. We look forward to seeing
you there.
Sincerely,
Robert Morris, MIT
