Instructions for Authors of Refereed Papers

  1. Final Papers: A printable PDF of your paper, no longer than twelve pages for full papers and six for short papers, excluding references, is due on or before Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Please note that this is a hard deadline, no extensions will be granted.
    • Papers should be typeset in two-column format in 10-point Times Roman type on 12-point leading (single-spaced), with the text block being no more than 6.5" wide by 9" deep. As references do not count against the page limit, they should not be set in a smaller font.
    • Templates and sample first pages (two-column format) for Microsoft Word and LaTeX are available on the USENIX templates page.
    • Important: Page numbers must be suppressed on the final PDF.
Upload your final paper to the Web submissions system by January 31, 2017. If you have questions, please contact Michele Nelson: michele@usenix.org.
  2. Consent Form: USENIX requires a signed consent form from each author of a refereed paper. To review the consent form and sign with an electronic signature, follow this link and read the instructions on the screen. If you are the lead author, please make sure all of your co-authors sign a form.
  3. Author Resources: Resources to help authors submit papers and posters that meet USENIX publishing guidelines, including templates for LaTeX and Microsoft Word, are available on the Author Resources page.
  4. Registration: Registration information is now available. You will be contacted by the Conference Department with registration information. Please note: If the conference registration fee poses a financial hardship for the presenter of the refereed paper, please contact conference@usenix.org.
