An Opportunity to Share Your Opinion: Take Our 15 Minute Survey

If I had to pick one thing that is the most readily apparent during my first year at USENIX, it is the high-caliber people who are involved with the organization.

From the staff to the Board of Directors, through the program committees, to our members and conference attendees, I have had overwhelmingly positive and thoughtful interactions with all those whom I’ve encountered.

A strong, committed community like this has valuable opinions to offer us, and so we have put together a survey to solicit those opinions.

The survey is now open and awaiting your input. It should take about 15 minutes to complete.

All those who complete and submit a survey by the deadline--11:59 PM Pacific Time (UTC -7) on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018--will be entered into a random drawing for one of six prizes:

• GRAND PRIZE: one conference registration to the USENIX event of your choice + 3 nights’ hotel.
• RUNNER-UP PRIZES: unique discount code for 50 percent off the standard conference registration rate for the USENIX event of your choice. Five will be awarded.

Specifically, data gathered from this survey will be used anonymously and in aggregate to:

1. Paint a data-driven picture of the USENIX community.
2. Assess your perceptions of the organization.
3. Evaluate membership options and determine what USENIX can do to better serve you.
4. Gather information that will help USENIX make strategic decisions about various timely issues.

To be considered for the randomly drawn prizes mentioned above, you will need to complete the entire survey, then provide your name, email address, and phone number. USENIX will not use the contact information you provide for any other purpose.

Of course, this survey is just one way to share your thoughts. If you attend our conferences, we strongly encourage you to share your timely feedback on your event experience through our attendee surveys.
