Would you like to help create the System Administration Book of Knowledge (a sort of non-tree-like taxonomy)? Geoff Halprin initiated this project, and I have constructed a web site to enable us to collaborate in creating the line items for the book. In summary, I chaired a workshop at LISA 2000 in New Orleans. The 20 participants laid out a large set of categories and a set of "subheadings" that apply to each set of categories (e.g., categories include printing, user name management, policy management while subheadings include security, change management, and accounting). We're slowly but surely filling in the grid with a featured item each day. If you'd like to participate, please drop me a short note.
