mRSA's built-in revocation approach can co-exist with the traditional, explicit revocation approaches. For example, a CRL- or a CRT-based scheme can be used in conjunction with mRSA in order to accommodate existing implementations that require verifiers (and encryptors) to perform certificate revocation checks.
