Network Information Management and Distribution in a Heterogeneous and
Decentralized Enterprise Environment

Abstract
To promote enterprise-wide information and resource sharing, we
have implemented a network information management and distribution
system that gives subscribing systems real-time access to relevant
information changes. Participating systems need little more than a
small, single application to receive the updates. User interaction and
data administration require only a web browser. The resulting system
is timely, reliable, secure, easy to support and maintain, and
extensible.
