Implication of Different Disk Models

From the results of sections 4.1 and 4.2, we can see WOLF achieves significant performance gains for both the small/slow and the large/fast disk models. The results suggest that the disk characteristics do not have a direct impact on WOLF. While the absolute performance parameters may vary on different disk models, the overall trend is clear: WOLF can markedly reduce garbage collection overhead under many different workloads on different disk models.
