SREcon19 Asia/Pacific Diversity Grants

As part of USENIX's ongoing commitment to encourage diversity in advanced computing, we are pleased to offer diversity grants at SREcon19 Asia/Pacific to support computer scientists interested in attending the conference. All computer scientists from academia or industry who identify as female or who are members of groups underrepresented in tech are encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants will receive funds to defray the expense of conference attendance.

The application deadline is Monday, May 6, 2019, at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. Notifications of awards will be sent via email prior to the Early Bird Registration Deadline on Monday, May 20, 2019.

 

Eligibility:

  • Identify as a female or a member of another underrepresented group in tech
  • Work in or study computer science or related field
  • Attend the three full days of the main Conference Program
  • Agree to be contacted by USENIX and diversity grants program sponsors about future events and opportunities

Instructions for Applicants

Complete the application form below.

Your Supporting Statement is the most important part of your application: it should outline your current research, studies, or employment related to the conference topics, tell us why attending the event will be beneficial to you, your financial need, and any other relevant information such as whether you are presenting at the conference.

Late applications will not be considered. Successful applicants will need to submit their Social Security Number (SSN) to USENIX prior to receiving their grant.
