The USENIX Association and PeerJ Announce New Partnership

The USENIX Association and PeerJ, both highly-respected publishing venues, are delighted to announce a new partnership that will provide open access peer-reviewed publishing for computer science researchers, academics, and industry practitioners.

With only a small portion of the submissions for any given USENIX event being selected for presentation at the event or for publication in the official proceedings to maintain selectivity, USENIX recognizes that a far greater number of submissions offering a significant contribution to the scientific community can and should be published. Therefore we have chosen to partner with PeerJ, an award winning open access publisher that shares USENIX’s strong mission for free and open access to research. We believe it is the ideal publishing partner, and strongly encourage authors to submit their research to PeerJ's multidisciplinary computer science journal PeerJ Computer Science.

Beginning with the 2015 USENIX Annual Technical Conference, (USENIX ATC ‘15), authors of rejected papers can opt to submit their work for publication in PeerJ Computer Science. To kick off the partnership, PeerJ has graciously agreed to offer a free publication for researchers until Monday, August 3, 2015, so now’s the perfect time to submit your research. Just head over to PeerJ Computer Science and register your interest.

Please contact Camille Mulligan of USENIX or PeerJ at authors@peerj.com with any questions.
