The End Is Near! (at least for LISA '13 grant applications and FAST '14 calls for papers)

Students, don't miss your chance to land a fabulous grant for LISA '13, which will be held in Washington, D.C. from November 3-8. You can't get a grant if you don't apply. Not sure what a grant will get you? Check out Selena's story: How a USENIX Student Grant Can Lead to a Career in Technology. She attended LISA '97 on a student grant. Fast forward to 2012 and Selena gave a plenary talk at LISA '12: Education vs. Training. Yes, grants are glorious, but applications are due by Monday, September 30, so apply now.

We are also pleased to announce the LISA '13 Grants for Women, sponsored by Google to support female computer scientists interested in attending the 27th Large Installation System Administration Conference. All female computer scientists from academia or industry are encouraged to apply.

Five women will be selected from the applicants to receive $500 US to apply toward travel/accommodation costs.

  • Agree to being contacted by Google about future events and opportunities
