(1) WindowsNT SMP performance evaluation and improvement.

We are analyzing up to 8way SMP performance using monitoring tools such as instruction tracer, lock monitor, kernel profiler, and hardware monitor. In order to improve the performance, we are developing virtual-cluster system to bind resources to each processor.

(2)High reliable real-time WindowsNT system

WindowsNT is weak in reliability and real-time scheduling. we are developing multi-OS system in which WindowsNT and real-time OS(RTOS) co-exist in the same machine by modifying HAL. RTOS is still alive even when WindowsNT becomes blue-screen mode, and can analyze the reason of the failer.
