Data General wishes to use Windows NT to address the problems of the large scale, enterprise marketplace. We are particularly interested in high availability features of Windows NT, scaling of commerical workloads (especially database and data mining workloads), and new and emerging I/O architectures, such as i2o. Clustering will likely have a large impact on many of these areas and will be a technology which we wish to actively explore.
