My interests and current work in the Windows NT space revolves mostly around NT Networking. At Tandem, we are developing software to provide the ability to use our ServerNet technology (see www.tandem.com for details) to connect NT servers in a System Area Network. This development covers a very wide range of areas including adapter drivers, transports, cluster management software, and network manageability software. My immediate interest is focusing on the following:
- Networking, issues in developing a new networking technology in NT
- Clustering, issues dealing with Wolf Pack and failover
- Availability, issues and concerns regarding the reliability and availability of NT
- Manageability, managing a heterogeneous network including NT nodes
