We are developing a framework for internet services that combines web caching and proxies with support for clusters, high availability, and scalability. This allows service authors to focus on the content of the service and take the scalability and availability aspects for granted. We currently run on Solaris and Linux clusters and SMPs and are considering the move to NT.
