Conclusions and availability

In this paper we have described Publius, a Web based anonymous publishing system that is resistant to censorship. Publius's main contributions beyond previous anonymous publishing systems include an automatic tamper checking mechanism, a method for updating or deleting anonymously published material, and methods for anonymously publishing mutually hyperlinked content. The current implementation of Publius consists of approximately fifteen hundred lines of Perl. The source code is freely available at https://www.cs.nyu.edu/~waldman/publius.html.
