Be a Terminal Room Volunteer
at LISA '98

The Terminal Room will be available at the LISA '98 conference. If you volunteer in the room for 10 hours you will receive free registration to the Technical Talks on Dec 9-11th. We need a total of 12 people. If you use the terminal room and think that it is a valuable service, please consider becoming a volunteer.

The terminal room will be open:
December7Monday7:00 AM - 2:00 AM
December8Tuesday7:00 AM - 2:00 AM
December9Wednesday7:00 AM - 2:00 AM
December10Thursday7:00 AM - 2:00 AM
December11Friday7:00 AM - 2:00 PM (afternoon)

An interested applicant should be able to (minimally):

  • Answer questions on use of terminal room equipment.
  • Manage a queue (of people) waiting to use the equipment.

Your 10 hours of work will entitle you to free registration for the Technical Talks ONLY! You will need to make other arrangements for transportation, accommodation, and tutorial registration.

If you are interested in working, please fill in the Application Form and the collected information will be sent by email to Lynda McGinley, who is co-ordinating the effort. Applications must be received by October 21, 1998.
