FreeBSD is an Open Source operating system licensed under the very liberal Berkeley-style license [FreeBSD]. It is freely available from a world-wide network of FTP servers. The SMPng work is being done in the development branch and is not presently in any released version of FreeBSD. It will debut in FreeBSD 5.0.
